Play like a pro!

Your round of golf begins at No. 1, a 458-yard par 4 from the black tees. The green is visible straight down the middle of the fairway, appearing well within reach for an easy par—an inviting way to start your round. However, looks can be deceiving.

A tee shot hit too far right may find one of two fairway bunkers or miss the fairway entirely, ending up beyond the cart path. Meanwhile, straying too far left can leave you blocked by trees or trapped in the second fairway bunker, making your approach shot far more difficult.

As you near the green, additional challenges come into play. A creek runs just short of the green, ready to catch any misjudged approach, while a greenside bunker lurks nearby. And though the view of the lake is spectacular, finding your ball in the water is far less enjoyable.

The most direct route to the green—and the lowest score—is also the riskiest. Keeping your ball as close to the center of the fairway as possible will set up an easier second shot, but precision is key. Playing No. 1 at Rancho Del Sol demands confidence and control. Overestimating your game can quickly turn a promising par into a double or even triple bogey. True to Pete Dye’s signature design, Rancho Del Sol’s opening hole presents both beauty and challenge, setting the tone for the round ahead.

For the love of Disc

This is the 6th DiscGolfPark established in California and the 28th in the United States. It was officially established in January 2021.

The Rancho Del Sol Golf Course, formerly known as the Moreno Valley Ranch Golf Course, was designed by renowned architect Pete Dye in 1988. Originally a 27-hole facility featuring the Mountain, Valley, and Lake courses, it offered players a unique blend of three distinct 9-hole combinations. The course has since been redesigned, transitioning from a challenging 27-hole layout to a more playable yet still exciting 18-hole course.

The former 9-hole Lake Course, which had been left abandoned, has now been repurposed into a fully dedicated Disc Golf Course, providing players with a beautiful rolling landscape to enjoy.

This pro-caliber, championship-level course is a true gem of the Inland Empire, built into the mountain at the base of Mt. Russell. It offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area, the desert, and the distant San Bernardino Mountain Range.

Set in a natural and rugged landscape, the course provides a picturesque backdrop for disc golf, with breathtaking vistas of Moreno Valley below. The terrain is moderately hilly, with an initial ascent over the first six holes before transitioning to play along the mountainside. The highlight of the course is the awe-inspiring Signature Hole #8, a thrilling 1,000+ ft par 5 that sends players throwing back down the mountain.

This course offers a great variety of shot shapes and distances, requiring a diverse range of throws to navigate the rolling hills and side slopes. Many of the preexisting golf greens have been repurposed as disc golf greens, with bunker hazards coming into play on several holes.

The short (White) layout is a pro-level course featuring a well-balanced mix of par 3s and 4s, totaling a par 60 and measuring 7,475 feet (2,279 meters). The long (Blue) layout is a championship-level challenge designed to test even the best players, featuring seven par 4s and two par 5s for a total par of 65, stretching 10,280 feet (3,134 meters).

Highly visible yellow DiscGolfPark baskets can be spotted from most tee pads, even on some of the longer holes, providing clear targets and enhancing the playing experience.
